SteelAsia now gets around 70% of its power from renewable sources. Part of the company's Meycauayan plant runs on rooftop solar, while the Calaca and Cebu facilities use geothermal energy. It is building two new plants -- a beam facility in Lemery, Batangas, and a heavy section mill in Candelaria, Quezon.
