“Gentleman” Chris Adams was born on this day in 1955. A Judo champion before entering pro wrestling in 1978, Adams is credited as the original innovator of the superkick. Adams greatest success came in World Class Championship Wrestling in Texas, where he was both an friend and rival to the Von Erichs.
