Raccoons have extremely sensitive hands, with approximately 5x the sensory cells that humans have. They may not have thumbs, but the five fingers on each hand work together to acutely manipulate objects. They are adept at figuring out puzzles. We often joke not to ever say the lock combination on their doors out loud.
