Between 1974 and 1991, the city of Wichita, Kansas, was terrorized by a serial killer who called himself BTK — an acronym for Bind, Torture, Kill. Dennis Rader murdered at least ten people, including entire families, carrying out calculated and sadistic crimes. What made the case even more chilling was Rader’s need for attention: he sent taunting letters to police and media, describing his crimes in disturbing detail and daring authorities to catch him. For decades, BTK vanished without a trace.
