May 5, 2021 · If you plan on enjoying games for nostalgic reasons, sure it's worth it. If you plan on going online, you'll need to use a stealth server and there are free ones, but if you get banned for any reason, yes you will need to buy KV's. Also, the online portion of the 360 is effectively dead. It's all CoD modding and GTA modding.

Overall the PS3 has more support, is easier to mod and use, and in my experience more reliable as a cfw machine. Also unlocking ps2 backwards compatibility adds so much functionality. I don't have much experience with the 360 so not able to compare, but I've had minimal issues with my modded PS3 slim.
