BROOKFIELD, Ill. — Snow days usually mean lounging and fun and Brookfield Zoo Chicago animals took full advantage of the opportunity. Zoo officials shared photos on Thursday of Mexican wolves, bald eagles, and snow leopards embracing the season’s first snowfall: Brookfield Zoo Chicago is located at 3300 Gold Road.

Animals at Brookfield Zoo Chicago made the most of the season’s first snowfall, which coated much of the area in 2 – 4 inches of snow on Thursday.

The new pandas at the National Zoo, Bao Li and Qing Bao, experienced their first snowfall in D.C. on Friday morning. The National Zoo shared pictures on X of the duo, adding that “Bao Li ate a carrot and bamboo while watching the flakes fall.

Snow leopards, Amur tigers, and birds were spotted frolicking in their frost-covered habitats, thriving in the chilly weather.
