A suspected terrorist wanted by the FBI for more than 20 years has appeared in court for the second time since his arrest in North Wales. Daniel Andreas San Diego, 46, was one of the US agency’s “most wanted fugitives” after two bombings in the San Francisco area of California in 2003.

He became the first “domestic terrorist” to be added to the agency’s most wanted terrorist list, created by then-President George W Bush in October 2001 in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, according to a BBC report.

"Being remote you can be living in a property where neighbours can't see you, the public's prying eyes are a long way away and you're not going to face uncomfortable questions like you might do if you were living in a terraced house in a city, for example," he said. He said there would also be benefits to choosing to hide in a big city.

Known as one of the FBI's "most wanted terrorists," San Diego was linked to two homemade pipe bombs that exploded on August 28, 2003, at Chiron Corp., a biotech business in Emeryville, just across the bay from San Francisco.

A New Hampshire jury on Tuesday found a former leader at a youth detention center guilty of holding down a teen while he was raped in 1998. Bradley Asbury, now 70, was found guilty on two counts of being an accomplice to aggravated sexual assault. Asbury served as a house leader at the Sununu Youth Services Center in Manchester.
