Attorneys for 37 women said they would sue Harrods, the luxury department store, over the rape and sexual assault they say its former owner committed.

Lawyers representing a group of women who claim they were sexually assaulted by Mohamed Al-Fayed revealed details of the alleged abuse at a press conference in London on Friday, Sept. 20

The legal team representing the alleged victims of the former owner of Harrods, Mohamed Al Fayed, say the late billionaire was a “monster” whose crimes were “enabled” by the high-end department store.

Al Fayed, the former owner of Harrods, has been accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women who worked at the London store. Al Fayed died in August last year.

A BBC investigation heard testimony from more than 20 women who said they were sexually assaulted by the billionaire.
