Red Bull senior advisor Helmut Marko commended the FIA for its action against McLaren's controversial low-drag rear wing, which appeared to create a partial DRS

Red Bull will no doubt feel they have won their case arguing the legality of McLaren's rear wing design, following a viral social media clip posted after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Formula 1’s governing body says McLaren’s rear wing complies with the rules after rivals Red Bull raised questions about its legality.

Despite earlier reassurance and passing the FIA’s static deflection tests, McLaren will be forced to modify its low downforce, ‘mini DRS’ rear wing after the FIA received official complaints from Red Bull.

The FIA has asked McLaren to modify the rear wing in two places. The flexi-wing on the MCL38 now has to be modified.
