Saquon Barkley — like so many others — has seen the viral “Hard Knocks” clip where Giants owner John Mara admitted he’d lose sleep if the Eagles signed the star running back.

The Eagles and Saquon Barkley winning the Super Bowl on Sunday night was a fitting final blow to an all-time disgrace of a Giants season — as general manager Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll dragged Mara’s family franchise through the Meadowlands swamps.

Throughout his incredible season with the Philadelphia Eagles, one thing came up more often than almost anything else: The New York Giants let Saquon Barkley leave in free agency.  Not only that, but they did so quite publicly as the Giants were the subject of the first -- and likely last (because of the way things worked out) -- edition of "Offseason Hard Knocks.
