Israeli strikes early Tuesday killed 10 people in the Gaza Strip, including four children and two women, Palestinian officials say. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces killed two people in an airstrike and shot a third person dead.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for the second time on Tuesday, citing a "crisis of trust" between the two amid Israel's ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Netanyahu and Gallant have repeatedly been at odds over the war in Gaza. Netanyahu had avoided firing his rival until world’s attention was focused on the U.S. presidential election.
