Suzuki or Maruti Suzuki as it is known in India, will unveil its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the eVX, in Milan tomorrow. The Japanese automaker has announced plans to launch this revolutionary model in India by 2025. The global production of the eVX will take place at Maruti Suzuki's manufacturing facility in Gujarat, India.

The Suzuki e Vitara comes with two battery pack options – 49 kWh and 61 kWh – could offer a range of up to 550 km

The e Vitara for India might be called with a different name but design wise it retains the basic concept look while being an above 4m SUV.

Vitara. The e-Vitara is essentially the production version of the eVX concept which was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo last year and the production version has been revealed in Milan today. The e-Vitara will be the first electric vehicle from Maruti Suzuki in India and will compete with the Tata Curvv EV,

Maruti Suzuki eVX will also come with a 4-wheel drive system. The eVX will go on sale in various countries such as Japan, India, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

The E Vitara will launch in Europe, India, and Japan “around” the summer of next year, and there will be a Toyota-badged version, which will probably look a lot like the Urban SUV Concept Toyota revealed in 2023.

Suzuki has unveiled its first-ever electric car, which is set to go on sale in the summer of next year. The new Suzuki e Vitara SUV will be built in India for the UK market and be available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive form with a choice of 49 or 61kWh batteries.
