Corinne Busche leaves BioWare and EA after an 18-year career in development on titles that included Sim 3, Sims 4, Tiger Woods, and more. Rumors also circulate that BioWare Edmonton could be in trouble as well.

Even so, it’s clear that the Game Director Corinne Busch is ready to move on from the project and from EA altogether, as she has officially confirmed that she will be leaving the company. As of now, no additional departures from BioWare have been announced, and this doesn’t appear to be part of a wider staffing change.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard director Corinne Busche is reportedly leaving EA-owned BioWare. Eurogamer reported that Busche, who was game director on Dragon Age: The Veilguard from February 2022 to its launch last year, is set to leave the studio in the coming weeks. IGN has asked EA for comment.

UPDATE 4pm UK: Dragon Age game director Corinne Busche has now confirmed her departure from BioWare and EA in a statement to Eurogamer. In it, Busche said she had left the studio for a new post elsewhere, after being offered an oppurtunity to build a fresh RPG she "couldn't turn down".

Corinne Busche joined EA in 2006, moving to Bioware in 2019.

Busche, along with John Epler, was one of the main figures responsible for overseeing Veilguard's final push across the release finish line.

While it's not a groundbreaking game like previous entries in the series, Dragon Age: The Veilguard still shows just how good BioWare is at crafting an adventure set in a magical world and bolstered by strong real-time action-based combat.

Though Busche leaves behind an 18-year career at EA, BioWare is reportedly otherwise unaffected.
