Coal India is expected to report a year-on-year (YoY) drop in its net profit for the quarter ended December 2024, on the back of reduced realisations on weaker e-auction premiums.

Results: State miner Coal India on Monday reported a 17% year-on-year fall in its December quarter consolidated net profit at Rs 8,506 crore versus Rs 10,253 crore posted in the year ago period. The profit after tax was however better than the Street's estimates of Rs 8,

Coal India reported a net profit of ₹8,491.2 crore in Q3, beating estimates but down 17.5% YoY. Revenue dipped 1%, and the PSU also declared a dividend.

Revenue decreased by 1.03% YoY & profit decreased by 17.05% YoY, profit at ₹8505.57 crore and revenue at ₹35779.78 crore

Coal India reported a 17 per cent drop in consolidated net profit to Rs 8,505.57 crore for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25).

Revenue from operations was also down. Coal India has reported a profit after tax of INR 8,491 crore in the third quarter of fiscal year 2024 to 2025, which was down 17% from the same period last year.

Coal India reported 17.04% decrease in consolidated net profit to Rs 8,505.57 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 10,253.48 crore in Q3 FY24.
