Large crowds are expected to gather on the sea front of the Isle of Man's capital for a bonfire night fireworks display themed with "music from movies". Douglas Council will start the event at19:00 GMT, with the celebrations on Harris Promenade focused around the area of the war memorial.

Hooligans attacked buses with fireworks, as operators dealt with Bonfire Night incidents. Vehicles on the 52 route were targeted near Darnall last night, as South Yorkshire celebrated Bonfire Night with bonfires and fireworks across the region. The incident was reported by the operator Stagecoach at just after 9pm.

Police have put dispersal orders in place for two areas of Nottingham ahead of Bonfire Night. The orders cover St Ann’s Well Road and parts of Clifton from 16:00 GMT on Tuesday for a period of 24 hours and may be "re-imposed at any time".
