Republic of Ireland went down to a 4-0 defeat by a clinical Slovenia side in their second Uefa Nations League game. The hosts led 3-0 at the break thanks to ruthless finishing as they cut through the Irish defence and capitalised on their chances.

Germany's Linda Dallmann came off the bench to score one goal and make another as her side hammered neighbours Austria 4-1 to move to the top of Nations League A Group 1, but they could be overtaken if the Netherlands beat Scotland later on Tuesday.

The UEFA Women's Nations League is comprised of a league stage, where teams are broken into three separate leagues based on their UEFA national team coefficient ranking. The league stage comprises of League A, League B and League C.
