France has given the world a first look inside the restored Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, over five years after the fire that ravaged the interior of the heritage landmark.

After five years of reconstruction that followed the 2019 fire, the public was able to get a first glimpse of the cathedral's restoration on Friday, as President Macron made a final tour before the grand reopening next weekend.

The 12th-century cathedral is one the world’s most famous tourist attractions. It was undergoing restoration in 2019 when it was engulfed by flames.
