Arizona's highest court has ruled that nearly 100,000 residents who have unconfirmed citizenship status are allowed to vote in state and local elections.

The Republican-leaning Arizona Supreme Court unanimously ruled Friday that nearly 98,000 people whose citizenship documents hadn’t been confirmed can vote in state and local races, saying the voters were not at fault for a database error that for two decades mistakenly designated them as having access to the full ballot.
