Framework has announced a substantial upgrade for the Framework Laptop 13, highlighted by the powerful AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series and several notable refinements in and around the laptop’s chassis.

Framework previewed the Framework Laptop 12, a budget PC with Framework's modular approach to upgrades and configuration. Its Laptop 13 has also been upgraded to include AMD's Ryzen AI 300 chip.

It’s a little weird to talk about Framework “launching” a new laptop given it just makes the same machine over and over again. That, of course, is the point, since it’s building a fleet of modular, upgradeable and repairable machines that eliminate unnecessary e-waste.

Buyers new to the Framework ecosystem can buy a laptop, which starts at $1,099 as a pre-built system with an OS, storage, and RAM included, or $899 for a build-it-yourself kit where you add those components yourself.
