Sony Pictures should be bracing for another Marvel movie blow at the box office as Kraven the Hunter is tracking to open with a franchise-low with $13 million to $15 million. Not even Aaron Tylor-Johnson ’s abs will be able to save this movie.

With a dismal box office outlook, “Kraven the Hunter” may add to Sony’s list of Spider-Man spinoffs that failed to capture audiences, including “Madame Web” and “Morbius.”

Sony is reportedly giving up on its Spider-Man universe, which includes universally panned films such as Venom and Morbius, as Kraven the Hunter is projected for a worse opening weekend than the disastrous Madame Web.

Sony's Spider-Man Universe added three different spin-offs in 2024 and all of them had a poor critical reception. As Kraven the Hunter joins the likes of Venom, Morbius, and Madame Web, it scored an all-time low in a franchise without much hope to begin with.
