The young Italian ace has not only refined his game by continuing the progress made in the second half of 2023, but has become an almost unstoppable player on all surfaces. Jannik Sinner did a lot of winning this year. At times, it felt like the Italian tennis superstar won everything. While that isn't quite right, Sinner did finish the year as the World No. 1 with a record of 70-6 and eight singles titles (including two Grand Slams).

The 23-year-old could be banned from tennis for up to two years if the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upholds the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) appeal into Sinner’s doping case. He tested positive for clostebol, a banned anabolic steroid on March 10 at the BNP Paribas Open held in Indian Wells, Calif, and on March 18, out of competition.

Jannik Sinner holding trophies above his head is an image tennis fans have become very accustomed to seeing in 2024 and it continued as Italy won its second straight Davis Cup on Sunday.
