Those areas along the Great Lakes, as well as those in central and northern New York, all have a “high” probability of enjoying a white Christmas. Meanwhile, parts of the Finger Lakes region and the Catskills region have a “medium” chance of waking up to snow on Christmas day. Although the odds are low for New York City, they are not zero.

Iowans may see a winter storm right before Christmas Day, but that doesn't mean we'll see snow sticking to the ground. Yet, the yearly question arises: Will we have snow for Christmas this year? Last year was a warm Christmas day in Des Moines,

Typically, a white Christmas is not something we see here in Philadelphia or much of the Delaware Valley. The exception to that would be the northern edge of the Lehigh Valley in the Poconos, which obviously has a much better chance of snow any time during the winter season.
