Treyarch has explained why it chose to block Black Ops 6 players from using legacy double XP tokens in multiplayer and Zombies.

Legacy Double XP in Black Ops 6 was not carried forward, but you can still use the boosts in-game if you know a handy workaround.

For a fleeting moment last week, Black Ops 6 players were able to use their old double XP tokens from Modern Warfare 2 or 3 to rank up faster.But, that turned out to be a UI bug (unleashed by the season 1 update last week) that botched the game’s stability and was swiftly patched – thereby throwing a wrench in the race to being Prestige Master.
