Dave Bautista would like to get back into the superhero/supervillain game… just not that one.

Dave Bautista is desperate for another Marvel or DC superhero role. The actor’s interest comes at a time when superhero films continue to dominate the global box office, with comic book adaptations generating over $30 billion worldwide since 2008.

Dave Bautista recently commented on the possibility of his return as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy 4 in the future. In 2023, Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy 3 ended with the team splitting up and everyone going their separate ways.

Dave Bautista has once again ruled out a Drax return in the MCU – but remains surprisingly open to appearances either at Marvel or with his old Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn over at DC.

Dave Bautista would return to play Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on just one condition. In an interview with ComicBook.com to promote his new movie, In the Lost Lands (in theaters March 7th),

Doomsday despite previous comments about not reprising his role as Drax. Bautista expressed interest in playing a character in the superhero genre but mentioned he won't return as Drax unless James Gunn is involved.
