The second generation of AirPods Pro was launched in September 2022, with a revised version introduced last year with a USB-C charging case replacing Lightning. Two years later, the AirPods Pro 2 remain my favorite wireless earbuds, and are probably the best you can buy right now.

The AirPods Pro 2 are probably the best example of Apple’s outstanding audio engineering and they justify their usual premium price. At the heart of these earbuds is Apple’s H2 chip which powers their advanced audio capabilities and seamless connectivity.

There are two models AirPods you can buy at the moment (three, if you count ANC and non ANC versions). The AirPods Pro 2, the top of the range AirPods, and the AirPods 4, in both ANC and ANC-less guises. They each have their own positives and negatives, and crucially, price points. But which should you be laying down the cash for over Black Friday?
