The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is going to be decommissioned and replaced by a ride featuring the Muppets.

If you’re one of the many Disney Hollywood Studios fans who were devastated to learn that the Muppets Courtyard and the long-running show Muppet*Vision 3D will be removed from the Orlando park in order to make room for a new Monsters Inc.

The company has announced that the Aerosmith -themed Rock‘n’Roller Coaster – a high-speed indoor ride at Hollywood Studios, part of the Walt Disney World complex in Orlando, FL – is to rebrand as a Muppets-themed attraction. The popular puppets are currently to be found at the park in the shape of a "Muppet*Vision 3D" movie attraction.

Three months after Aerosmith retired from touring, Disney World has announced it will give the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster ride to The Muppets.

The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith first opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida on July 29, 1999. In March of 2002, a second version opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in France, but was later re-themed as Avengers Assemble: Fight Force.

Disney's Hollywood Studios will replace the iconic 3D show with a previously announced Monsters, Inc. land — plus Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is getting a Muppet makeover.

Following the band’s decision to end their touring days this year, Disney has revealed its official replacement for Aerosmith on its famed Rock ’n’ Roller coaster at it’s Hollywood, FL location.
