Lanvin, the world's oldest continually operating couture house, founded in 1889, has unveiled a new chapter in its storied history with Peter Copping's debut as artistic director.

The homecoming runway was a reference to the founder Jeanne Lanvin’s 1920s to 1930s rich legacy and a representation of a newfound spirit of the house

The designer described the gown as “a custom look from Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture,” and it certainly fits her snug as a glove. A gilded halter top plunges into the vintage corset at her waist, barely containing her chest. The dress then drops in a shimmering pattern all the way to the ground and includes a long train.
