The saga that resulted in Liam Coen reportedly leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to take the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job has left NFL
The New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys are the only two NFL teams still looking for a new head coach after the Las Vegas Raiders hired Pete Carroll and the Jacksonville Jaguars hired Liam Coen recently.

BREAKING: Liam Coen is next Jaguars head coach
It’s been a pretty wild few days for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but according to Adam Schefter, they’ve found their next head coach in now former Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Liam Coen.
It appears the Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly zeroing in on Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen for the head coach job.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is back in the running for the Jaguars' coaching job, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday afternoon. Coen, 39, is a day removed from apparently agreeing to remain with the Buccaneers on a lucrative new contract. After that news became public, Jacksonville canned general manager Trent Baalke.

The Bucs tried reaching out to Coen and his camp Thursday, but did not hear back as the coach traveled to Jacksonville to finalize the deal, ESPN's Adam Schefter added. Coen eventually got back to Bucs head coach Todd Bowles to inform him of the interview with Jacksonville, Schefter followed up.
Once Ben Johnson decided to head to Chicago, Coen was presumably the overwhelming favorite to become the Jaguars’ next head coach and was one of three candidates–along with Patrick Graham and Robert Saleh–who had a second interview scheduled.
And does that excuse the ex-offensive coordinator ghosting his former team for more than 24 hours after saying he’d stay in Tampa Bay?
Later Thursday night, it was learned that Coen would take the Jacksonville job. The Buccaneers seem to have strongly reacted to this defection.
Liam Coen had taken himself out of the running for the Jacksonville job, but reversed course and officially became the Jaguars' next coach on Friday.
