Two Colorado men were sentenced Wednesday to federal prison after they took a plea agreement for distributing fentanyl that killed a woman.
Two illegal aliens tied to Mexican cartels and approximately 130,000 fentanyl pills, heroin, cocaine and meth were discovered during a drug bust in the Denver, Colorado, area.
The Rocky Mountain Drug Enforcement Administration said their RMFD Special Agents have been on several operations since Sunday.
On Wednesday, the District of Colorado U.S. Attorney’s Office said two men were sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to distributing a controlled substance.
Stopping illicit fentanyl distribution is a priority for the administration, the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” acting United States Attorney for the District of Colorado J. Bishop Grewell said in a press release.
Colorado’s Division of Youth Services, which oversees the state’s 14 youth detention and commitment facilities, had not previously said how the teen died.
