The New England Patriots should target a trade for this Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher during the NFL offseason.

Hubbard (knee) finished the 2024 season with 41 tackles (25 solo), including 2.0 sacks, two pass breakups, including one interception, one forced fumble and one safety across 14 games with Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson recorded 17.5 sacks this season, taking the sack crown for the 2024 campaign. And he did so without much help elsewhere. Joseph Ossai finished second with five sacks, followed by defensive tackles B.J. Hill and Kris Jenkins with three each.

Cincinnati enters this offseason ninth in effective cap space with $44.2 million available, according to Over the Cap. Yet, the Bengals could double that depending on their level of aggressiveness in cutting veterans.

The Bengals need all the cap space they can get. And frankly, the roster needs new blood at some key spots. Cut candidates like Sam Hubbard and Alex Cappa are no-brainers. Moving on could be the equivalent of adding a similarly-priced free agent.
