University of Massachusetts' flagship campus is urging international students who are traveling over the holidays to return to the country before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.

Foreign-born students and faculty members could be vulnerable when President-elect Donald Trump takes office, including undocumented immigrants and those involved in pro-Palestinian protests.

The school said the suggestion is based on previous travel bans that were enacted by the last Trump administration in 2017.

Several American universities have issued travel advisories for their international students as well as staff and urged them to return to the US before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration in January next year amid concerns over travel bans that may be enacted by his administration.
