This is the moment Kansas City Chiefs player Tershawn Wharton caught an overenthusiastic boy who fell from the stands after the Chiefs' victory against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 24.

After quite possibly saving a child’s life on Sunday, Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton has invited the young fan to a game.

As Wharton and his teammates were walking back into the locker room following the game, there was a kid in the stands trying to catch his attention. The child leaned on the wall over the tunnel and accidentally tipped over it.

After the win, Chiefs fans who made the trip to Charlotte were lined up on the railing of the stands to congratulate the players. But one kid at the end of the row, who was reaching over to shake hands with the players, managed to fall through a (rather large) gap just as some Chiefs were walking over to shake hands with them.

The defensive tackle showed off the hands of a wide receiver as he lunged to catch a falling child who went over the edge of the stands.
