In the wake of the chaos at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, authorities halted over 2 lakh vehicles across eight districts at the Prayagraj border. To control the crowd, special trains that had arrived were suspended until further notice.

The fire was reported in Sector-22 of the Maha Kumbh district near Chatnag Ghat. The devotees are reported safe and evacuated from the site of the fire.

Upon receiving the information, fire brigade teams immediately reached the site and began efforts to control the fire. Two fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames.
