Groves is back in the state rankings thanks to a five-game winning streak including wins over Auburn Hills Avondale, Clarkston and Rochester Adams. The Falcons square off with Bloomfield Hills in Wednesday’s semifinal before a potential showdown with Brother Rice in a final on Friday.

Michigan (20-6, 12-3 Big Ten), had a bit of a setback this week, dropping its only game of the week to rival Michigan State, 75-62, at home. Not only was the defeat the first at Crisler Center in May's career, it also included just the second technical foul of May's career and his first in the maize and blue.
