Broome and frontcourt running mate Dylan Cardwell dominated Penny Hardaway’s Tigers (6-1). Broome had 21 points, 16 rebounds and six assists and four blocks, while Cardwell put up 18 points and had three rebounds and six assists.

Johni Broome scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead No. 4 Auburn to the Maui Invitational championship with a 90-76 win over Memphis.

It’s the first time in program history that Auburn has won out in Maui. It beat a pair of ranked teams to do so, surviving a scare from No. 5 Iowa State on Monday and handling No. 12 North Carolina late Tuesday night to get to Wednesday’s Memphis matchup.
