Arkansas its school record for largest halftime lead in a 109-35 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday night. John Calipari's Razorbacks (5-1) led 60-15 at the break, tying Arkansas' 45-point advantage at halftime in a 2009 win over Alcorn State.

Arkansas likely won’t see a team as far off its own quality as Maryland-Eastern Shore for the rest of the season. The Razorbacks used the contest to improve, sharpen in some areas, get some end-of-bench players some minutes and, ultimately, add an easy win to their tally.

FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas men’s basketball team won in historic fashion Monday night at Bud Walton Arena. The 19th-ranked Razorbacks (5-1) used a 28-0 run in the first half to take a 45-point halftime lead (60-15), tied for the largest in program history, and breezed past Maryland-Eastern Shore for a 109-35 victory.

In all of Arkansas' four previous victories this season, stretches of sloppy play have marred solid performances by John Calipari's first team in Fayetteville. That wasn't the case on Monday.

The Arkansas Razorbacks get one last chance to run short-handed and still have a legitimate chance to hold up before the schedule gets too tough to continue playing with such a small line-up because of injuries.
