Thousands of cases of Costco (COST) store brand eggs are being recalled due to a possible contamination of salmonella, bacterium that can cause serious infections, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Handsome Brook Farms is voluntarily recalling 10,800 cases of 24-count Organic Pasture Raised Eggs sold at Costco under the Kirkland Signature brand name due to the potential for salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. No illnesses have been reported.
