Sony announced this latest round of adaptations at its CES press conference this week. The new movies will be based on Helldivers and Horizon Zero Dawn. The former was a surprise hit last year, while the latter has been one of PlayStation’s most successful new franchises,

They announced that Sony Pictures is working on a film adaptation of last year’s hit Helldivers 2, while Columbia Pictures and PlayStation Productions are in “early stages”

The Horizon Zero Dawn movie will follow the story of Aloy. Less is known about the Helldivers movie, which will presumably follow an intergalactic battle between humans and extraterrestrial foes. Neither projects have writers, directors, or cast members attached.
