The Beaver Moon, the last supermoon of 2024, will light up the sky from Friday. The big picture: This "extra special" moon "will appear bigger and brighter than usual," per a NASA statement. It's the last of four consecutive supermoons and it will be "slightly closer and brighter than the first of the four in mid-August,

The next beaver moon will reach its peak in the United States on Friday, November 15 at 4:28 p.m. ET. This is the final supermoon of 2024, meaning it will be around 15% brighter than a regular full moon. The fact that it also happens to reach its peak at night means it will be extremely visible.
