China's Baidu on Thursday said it had not yet seen any notable improvement in advertising spending patterns or consumer spending despite recent government stimulus efforts, as it reported a 3% fall in third-quarter revenue.

In an earnings call, interim Chief Financial Officer He Junjie said he has not seen "notable improvement" in advertising spending from key clients despite Beijing's recent efforts to stimulate the economy.

The internet search giant pulled in US$4.6 billion in the September quarter, with a decline in online marketing outpacing AI growth.

The Chinese search-engine giant reported lower revenue for the second straight quarter on falling sales from online-marketing services and an economy struggling to regain momentum.
