The counting of votes for the long-delayed Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections has been completed, almost two months after polling. According to the sources, NSUI, and ABVP secures two posts each in the DUSU elections in 2024.

In the college-level elections, ABVP has achieved a clean sweep in five colleges, while NSUI won all positions in two colleges.

The contest saw a tight race between the National Student Union of India (NSUI), backed by Congress and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), backed by RSS.

As counting for the fifth round ended, NSUI strengthened its lead in three key posts in the central panel: President, Joint Secretary, and Secretary.

Eight candidates are contesting for the post of president, five for the post of vice president, and four each for the post of secretary and joint secretary.

In the fray are candidates from RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Congress-supported National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), and a Left coalition comprising the All India Students’ Association (AISA) and the Students’ Federation of India (SFI).
