Britain’s biggest police force has launched an investigation into more than five people who may have assisted former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed carry out more than 100 alleged acts of sexual abuse

At least 90 more people have come forward with sexual abuse allegations against Al Fayed after the BBC aired a documentary where 21 former Harrods accused the late billionaire of sexual assault and rape.

Mohamed Al Fayed ’s sexual abuse may have been on a similar scale to Jimmy Saville’s, a survivor’s advocate appointed by Harrods has said. Dame Jasvinder Sanghera was appointed by the department store, previously owned by Al Fayed, as an independent advocate to address the needs of the late billionaire’s victims.
