A true crime docudrama featuring one of the stars of The Vampire Diaries is trending on Netflix, joining the platform's true crime library.

Castlevania: Nocturne is a direct sequel to Netflix’s popular animated series Castlevania and features a unique and steamy relationship between the monk Mizrak, who fights against vampires, and a powerful vampire named Orlox. The show may be animated, but it doesn’t skimp on hot moments between the two muscular men.

Variety reported in September 2024 that the 2020 novel Midnight Sun, penned by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, will be turned into an animated show for Netflix. Midnight Sun gives readers Edward Cullen's point of view regarding the events of Twilight, which is narrated by his human love interest, Bella Swan.

The ’60s and ’70s were the true heyday of erotic lesbian vampire cinema, and while there are a few modern entries in the subgenre, we could use many, many more. So Hollywood, if you’re listening, bring back the erotic lesbian vampire!
