Boston is reversing course on a dedicated and controversial bus lane on a busy road after months of complaints from residents, drivers and businesses.

The decision comes as Wu faces a political challenge built partially on opposition to some of her transportation policies.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is reversing course on recent traffic changes in the Back Bay. In an interview with WGBH Radio on Wednesday, the mayor revealed that the city will remove the recently installed bus lane on Boylston Street.
