China's biggest EV maker BYD this week unveiled a leap into driverless systems with its "God's Eye" system as it continues to rack up market share with less expensive

God's Eye will come in three versions: triple LiDAR (A) for luxury models, single LiDAR (B) for premium brands, and triple-camera (C) for affordable models.

God's Eye uses BYD's self-developed intelligent driving chips and algorithmic architecture while integrating computer platforms from third-party suppliers, such as Nvidia and Horizon Robotics, said Yang Dongsheng, senior vice president of BYD and head of the Shenzhen-based company's automotive new technology research institute.
