A huge row has erupted after Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the ghee used in preparing the famous laddus, given as prasad, by the renowned Tirupati temple was mixed with animal fat.

Beef tallow, lard, and fish oil were found in ghee used for the preparation of Tirupati laddu when the YSR Congress Party was in power in Andhra Pradesh, the ruling Telugu Desam Party said on Thursday.

TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy in a press conference claimed that the adulteration has been confirmed by a Gujarat-based livestock laboratory, on the ghee samples provided by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams,
