The world’s largest gold-mining company, Denver-area Newmont Corp., has sold its Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine in Teller County for up to $275 million to another Denver-headquartered company, SSR

SSRM has announced that it has signed a definitive purchase agreement with Newmont Corporation NEM to acquire the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine (CC&V) in Colorado. This deal will add a high-quality producing asset in a Tier-1 jurisdiction to SSR Mining’s portfolio.

SSR Mining Inc. (Nasdaq/TSX: SSRM; ASX: SSR) announced on Friday the acquisition of the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold mine (CC&V) in Colorado from Newmont (NYSE: NEM, TSX: NGT). With this acquisition, SSR is expected to become the third-largest gold miner in the United States.
