Utah State QB Spencer Petras has been recovering from an ankle injury, and he got a big update ahead of Saturday's game against Temple.

Petras hit Jack Hestera for a 26-yard gain to get the Aggies into Temple territory, and on the next play, Petras threw into the end zone, where Colby Bowman high-pointed the ball and got both feet in at the back of the end zone for a 41-yard touchdown. From there, the Aggies never trailed again and kept Temple in check.

Three games into the 2024 season, the Utah State Aggies still have plenty of football ahead of them. Nine game weeks, plus two bye weeks to be exact. It still the middle of September after all. The season remains in its infancy.
