San Diego Gas & Electric has notified nearly 25,000 rural customers that power may be shut off on Wednesday morning because of critical wildfire conditions. The National Weather Service issued red flag warnings Tuesday for the San Diego County valleys and mountains through Friday morning.

Seasonal Santa Ana winds will blow across Southern California Wednesday, creating a high wildfire danger in parts of Orange County and the Inland Empire while having far less impact on the parched landscape of San Diego County, the National Weather Service said.
