A shooting near Central Phoenix on Tuesday evening left one man dead, prompting the Phoenix Police Department to open a homicide investigation. The shooting occurred at around 9:32 p.m., police said. Officers responded to the area of 26th Place and Monte Vista Road. A man had at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A suspect accused of shooting two men at a construction site near 39th Street and Thomas Road, leaving one of them dead, has been arrested.

A man has died after a shooting near 24th and Oak streets Tuesday night, Phoenix police said. Officers were called to the area around 9:30 p.m. and found the man with life-threatening injuries. First responders pronounced the man dead on the scene.
